Group classes

There's strength in numbers. True statement, especially in our group classes.

Most classes are single four-hour sessions learning how to correctly enter the data and then working through different scenarios of how to use and work with that data.  You will also learn how to find and fix errors specific to that class.  Unless otherwise noted, most classes are for all levels.

Some QuickBooks classes such as Construction, Inventory, etc will consist of two or more classes because of the detail that is covered in the class.

More classes are being created and will be offered soon.  Let us know if there is something you would like to see offered that we don't have yet.  Also let us know if you are interested in evening or Saturday classes.  Feel free to contact us with suggestions and questions.

The purpose of these classes is to provide you with the basic data entry skills needed for QuickBooks, but also to understand the accounting behind what you are doing.  Knowing when to call your CPA for help in getting your financial information correct is vitally important.  We want to give you the ability to really know that your books are clean and your financial statements are accurate, which can give you peace of mind and help you both build wealth and pay less taxes.

Make the most out of your QuickBooks classes by taking only one or two classes during the month.  Then practice those skills until you are comfortable with them before taking another class or two.  This will allow you to more fully absorb what you have learned.

Deb Smith is a certified Professional Bookkeeper and a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.  She attended Barnes Business College in Denver, CO and graduated in 1980 with a diploma in Management Accounting.  She has worked as a full-charge bookkeeper and accountant for 30 years in private businesses and CPA firms.

Working in CPA firms has given her the opportunity to see a wide variety of businesses and their QuickBooks files.  She has found that at least 75% of the QuickBooks files have required corrections, some quite extensive, before the tax return could be prepared.

Her passion is teaching small business owners and non-profit organizations how to correctly input data, read financial statements, find errors, prepare their files for accurate tax returns, and how to work with their CPA.  This is especially important for non-profit organizations because their accounting is different from small businesses.
